What does it mean to be a member?
What does it mean to be a member of YNPN Little Rock? We get that question a lot.
Regular membership is $25–but you're getting in for $5. You will have access to peers, mentors, and job postings. You will also have VIP access to special networking events, professional development opportunities, and volunteer experiences in the community. We are also developing member perks that include discounts on coffee, meals, and tickets to shows.
Being a member means participating in the organization. We want you, yes YOU, to grow with us and become a YNPN-LR Ambassador. Through our Ambassador Program you will attend networking socials, professional development workshops, and service opportunities in addition to building our membership. We also hope you engage with us on social media, join a committee, and tell your co-workers/friends/classmates about YNPN-LR!
It's a lot bigger than our chapter. YNPN is a national movement with more than 50,000 members. If you ever have to travel for conferences, rest assured that there are YNPN chapters across the country – from Seattle, to Austin, to Chicago, to Pittsburgh. Collectively, we are working to build a network of emerging leaders who can reshape the narrative on what a just, equitable society looks like and how we get there.
You have a voice in what types of programs and opportunities we offer. Before and after attending one of our events, you'll be contacted directly by one of our outstanding volunteer board members. We also send out an annual membership survey. Here's the gist: we exist for YOU. Each of us has our own areas where we want to learn, network, and serve. Our program offerings – from the topics we cover to the places we host events – should be catered to you, our members. Don't hesitate to let us know when we can do something better (or, if we're doing something well – it's always nice to hear that too!).
The majority of our members are nonprofit professionals in their 20s and 30s. However, we are age inclusive as we hope to represent a wide spectrum of nonprofit “young" professionals, in both age and experience, to make the greatest impact. So, if you feel like the YNPN network and events are relevant to your work and interests, we encourage you to be engaged and get involved with YNPN.
Here are a few of our amazing committees we are developing in 2017:
