Young nonprofit professionals—we see you.

You work tirelessly every day to create a more just and equitable world, swinging long hours and then managing volunteer gigs on the side.

You’re driven and ambitious... but unlike some of your peers, you’re putting your skills towards the common good by taking action. You're helping people experiencing homelessness, campaigning for human rights, researching policy and coming up with innovative solutions to ancient problems, or creating engaging art that enriches communities.

You aren’t just talking about making a better tomorrowyou’re working every day to shape the world we all live in.

And boy, does the world need you. Work for social good is under attack from all sides. Nonprofits are trying to build the plane while flying it, fighting for funding while challenging inequity, incivility, and inaction. It’s an uphill battle, but it’s one we can win.

But here’s the thing: the only way we win this fight is together. It took a long time to build up the systems of inequality we have inherited and change won’t happen overnight. And it won’t happen at all if we're working in silos. If we want to bridge the divides between us, we have to get to know each other. We have to learn from each other’s mistakes, listen to the voices that haven’t been heard, and lift each other up.

Which is what we do at the YNPN National Conference and Leaders Institute, presented by Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Join us in Indianapolis on July 27-30, 2018, where we give you the space you need to celebrate the movement’s wins and mourn the losses. To provide you with transformative training experiences that will get you from here to there. And to connect you with other people who, like you, see a better tomorrow and aren’t afraid to work for it.

What matters most to you? What will move your work forward? You’ll get to choose from two programmatic tracks designed just for our attendees:

  • Equity in a Changing World: Learn the multitude of ways inequity is manifested personally, in your community, and across society. Programming will feature causes and histories of inequity, emerging research on tangible ways to improve the sector, and concrete skills to bring equitable practices into your daily work and your organization.

  • Taking Action for Change: Discover how to advocate for social change, your organization’s mission, and yourself in your daily work. Programming will feature grassroots organizing, formal lobbying restrictions, and how you are your own best advocate in career planning and personal growth.

The time to take action is now.
Join us in creating change for a more just, equitable world.
